Surface Preparation
For perfect results, ensure the surface is dry, smooth, and properly isolated. Fill or sand away imperfections to achieve a perfectly flat base. Remove dust and dirt, then apply a coat of Giolliver water-based acrylic fixative. After 4–5 hours, apply two coats of the Smooth Base for Decorative Finishes.
Application Process
- First & Second Coats: Apply Stucco Antico evenly with the special stainless steel spatula (art. 636/637). Create a perfectly smooth, flat surface without gloss to prepare for the final layer.
- Third Coat: Apply in overlapping sweeps to define the design. Smooth the surface to the desired shine using a perfectly clean stainless steel spatula (art. 636/635).
- Polishing: Once partially dry, repeat smoothing with greater pressure to enhance the gloss and depth.
