Old Rust – Decorative Rust & Patina Finish

Old Rust is a specialized decorative paint that recreates the authentic look of rust and copper patina on walls, furniture, and architectural elements. Available in two bases—iron and copper—this versatile finish can be applied indoors or outdoors, offering a striking, aged aesthetic that evolves based on the amount of oxidizer used and environmental conditions such as temperature and humidity.

Application Details:

1. Prime the substrate with Fondo R in black or anthracite.
2. Apply Old Rust Ferro or Old Rust Copper with a handle-free brush (Art. 628) in a first even coat; allow to dry.
3. Apply a second coat, then activate oxidation with Old Rust Ossidante, repeating 2–3 times for the desired rust intensity. Wear gloves and goggles during activation.
4. Seal and protect the surface with Old Rust Finitura to ensure water repellency.

• Coverage: 4–5 m² per liter per coat
• Recommended Primer: Fondo R (black or anthracite)
